AUCKLAND, New Zealand, July 31, 2018—FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, has been named a Best Employer in New Zealand by Aon Hewitt.

“We are honoured to be recognised as an employer of choice in New Zealand for the eleventh time. This continued recognition is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our employees that enables us to deliver outstanding experiences for our customers”, said Peter Langley, vice president, FedEx Express Australasia. “At FedEx, our People-Service-Profit philosophy drives our focus on our employees and creates a positive workplace that values collaboration, high-performance work and outstanding people.”

“Our employees are our greatest asset. Our commitment to engaging our employees, so they are inspired to learn and develop new skills, is key to the success of our people-focused programs around leadership development, training and recognition of exemplary performance.”

The Best Employer accreditation process assesses organisations against four critical areas: employee engagement, effective leadership, aligned employer brand and high-performance culture. The accreditation comprises of three components: employee engagement survey, people practices inventory and the CEO and Human Resource Department (HRD) interview. Once all three components have been successfully completed, organisations will be eligible for accreditation as Aon Best Employers.

In addition to being awarded 2018 Aon Best Employer in Australia and New Zealand, FedEx was also recognised by Aon Hewitt as one of the ‘Best Employers in Asia-Pacific’ in 2017. Earlier this year, the company was ranked 9th in Fortune Magazine’s ‘World’s Most Admired Companies’ survey.
