Describe the object, frame and separate components
State whether the item is a print, painting, sculpture or another object, and describe the main materials. Explain whether it travels framed, under glass, mounted or with a separate base. Give the quantity of pieces and distinguish the object itself from accessories or display equipment.
Keep the purchase record and the seller's description available for review. Identify delicate surfaces, projecting parts and any handling conditions supplied by the maker. Agree who prepares the transport packaging
Discuss protective packing with the seller before choosing a collection date. Ask who will pack the work, whether a box or crate is proposed and when final measurements will be available. Do not assume a gallery's display wrapping is the finished transport packaging.
Provide the completed package's outside dimensions and packed weight. Artwork dimensions without the frame or outer protection can understate the space required. Disclose a crate, unusually shaped package or any need for lifting equipment at the start; an ordinary parcel inquiry does not confirm those arrangements.
Coordinate the holder and the overseas recipient
If the work must remain on display before release, explain the earliest date it can be packed. If a separate packer receives it, identify who arranges the transfer and which address becomes the collection origin. Give the final holder's release hours and contact details.

Are the artwork dimensions enough for a Scottsdale quote?
No. Supply the outside dimensions and weight of the finished transport package, including its frame, protective materials and any outer box or crate.
