YOUR STAMFORD SHIPPING GUIDE
Give the Stamford location where the goods are held
The Stamford Downtown Special Services District describes a downtown area with shops, services, arts and places to work and live. For a shipment, specify the actual office, residence or other premises holding the packages. Include Connecticut or CT, the mailing city, street, suite and full ZIP code.
The business placing the order, its billing office and the parcel holder can be at different addresses. If someone is preparing the shipment from home, use that physical origin for the collection assessment instead of automatically entering company headquarters.
Build a parcel list for each overseas recipient
When sending samples to several contacts, separate the destination address and package details for each recipient. Identify what is in each carton and how many units it contains. Two boxes for different countries should not be combined into one set of parcel measurements simply because they belong to the same project.
Describe samples in plain language, with their materials and values, and explain the reason for shipment. A sample label does not by itself establish transport acceptance. Disclose liquids, batteries, fragile components or unusual contents before a service is selected.
Confirm packing and permission to release
Check that the responsible person has approved which materials may leave and that packing is complete. If the team is still choosing samples, identify the parcel information as provisional. Provide final weights and outer dimensions after the selection and protective packaging are settled.
Give the person handing over the parcels a clear package count and any internal reference used to identify them. Avoid relying on a project name that reception or building staff may not recognize.
Distinguish tenant reception from building access
Ask whether the packages will be at your own reception, with a building concierge or at an agreed dispatch area. Confirm the suite, floor, entrance and contact who is authorized to release them. A concierge's presence does not establish permission to hand over every tenant's goods.
State the hours when the contact is available and explain any appointment or access procedure. Review the destination details, quoted service and estimated timing before confirming the arrangement. For other state origins, use the Connecticut international shipping guide.
City shipping questions
Should I use a company address if the parcels are at home?
Use the actual physical origin for collection and identify its local contact. Company billing details do not replace a different location holding the finished shipment.
How should samples for several recipients be listed?
Keep a separate destination and parcel list for each recipient. Describe every package's contents, quantities, packed weight and outer dimensions so the routes can be assessed accurately.
Can the building concierge release a Stamford shipment?
Only propose this after the concierge and responsible tenant agree to it. Provide the authorized contact, package count and handover instructions for the specific collection.
This guide describes an area from which collection can be requested. It does not identify an EPS branch or parcel drop-off counter.
