YOUR LEXINGTON SHIPPING GUIDE
Identify the Lexington premises holding the purchase
VisitLEX's neighbourhood and district guide introduces the city's distinct areas. A district name or the place where you met a seller is helpful context, but it does not identify the address holding your completed order.
Obtain the street number and name, unit or building, Lexington, Kentucky or KY and ZIP code. Confirm whether the goods are at the shop, a workshop or another property. If the seller moves an item for packing, use the final release address and give any change to EPS before collection is confirmed.
Describe each purchased piece before choosing transport
For decorative objects, framed work or other purchases, list what the items are, their materials and quantities. Explain whether there are glass surfaces, delicate projections, detachable parts or other features that affect preparation. A description such as souvenir or artwork is not enough to assess every shipment.
Ask the seller to distinguish items included in the order from display stands, presentation accessories or other pieces that remain behind. State whether the goods are new, used, a return or another type of shipment. Disclose liquids, batteries or other contents needing review instead of assuming a locally sold item is accepted internationally.
Confirm the finished packing and dimensions
A sales invoice may record the size of an object rather than its packed shipping size. Establish who will prepare the protective packaging, then record the external dimensions and weight of each finished carton or case. Explain if the item is still unpacked or needs a crate or unusual handling.
- Give the final package count and contents of each piece.
- Measure outside length, width and height after packing.
- Select lbs / inch or kg / cm in the quote form.
- Identify fragile items and any packing that remains incomplete.
- Provide the overseas country, postal code and shipment purpose.
Discuss the preparation needed with the seller or an experienced packer. A collection enquiry does not by itself arrange packing, a condition inspection or special handling. If you have only estimated measurements, label them as estimates and update them before the final offer is accepted.
Authorise release of the correct order
Supply a responsible local contact, the reference used to find the purchase and available release hours. Confirm that the holder can identify every package and follow the agreed labelling and paperwork instructions. If someone else paid for the goods or placed the order, make sure the holder understands whose shipment is being released.
Review the proposed service, quoted charges, documentation and collection arrangement with EPS. See the Kentucky shipping guide for other state origins.
Lexington shipping questions
Can I ask for a quote while a seller still holds my purchase?
Yes. Provide the holder's address, release contact, contents and available packing details. Confirm when the finished packages will be ready before collection is agreed.
Does a framed item's sale size describe the shipping package?
Usually it describes the item itself. Ask for measurements and weight after protective packing, including any outer carton, corners or crate used for transport.
Is packing or an inspection included automatically?
No. Explain what assistance is needed before accepting an offer. Agree the preparation and any extra handling separately; sending a quote request does not book those services.
This guide describes an area from which collection can be requested. It does not identify an EPS branch or parcel drop-off counter.
