Locate the goods in Michigan before requesting collection
Specify Michigan or MI and the full mailing address, including the correct city and ZIP code. A company may sell from one location and dispatch from another. Ask where the completed shipment will physically wait, especially when a workshop, supplier and storage site are all involved.
Keep origins in Grand Rapids, Lansing, Ann Arbor or an Upper Peninsula community under their actual mailing location. A Detroit-area description does not replace the address. If the goods are in Canada, identify the Canadian origin separately; a Michigan invoice or nearby border crossing does not make that a US pickup.
Purchased, repaired or returned items
Tell EPS whether the shipment is a new purchase, an item being returned to its owner or goods going to an overseas repairer. Provide the actual item description, quantity and condition. A part number can help identify a component but should accompany a plain-language description.
For a repair or supplier return, confirm the recipient's authorization and required reference before transport is arranged. A workshop's approval to send an item does not settle carrier acceptance, paperwork or the transport price. Ask which information is required for the particular contents and destination.
Describe the completed package, not the bare component
Give the packed weight and outside dimensions of each box or case. Include protective packaging and any protruding handles or other parts when describing the piece. State lb/in or kg/cm and identify packages that need unusual handling.
Disclose batteries, fluids, residues, pressurized components or other contents requiring review. Do not treat a used item as accepted simply because it has been boxed or labeled as a spare part. If an item is crated, palletized or too heavy for ordinary parcel handling, ask for a service assessment before relying on a parcel quote.
Arrange release from the premises
Identify the staff member or department holding the shipment, opening hours and the outgoing-goods entrance. Explain controlled yards, loading appointments, private-road access and seasonal occupancy. State whether the holder can prepare the agreed documents and bring the packed pieces to the authorized handover point.
