Ask the holder for the full street address, suite or floor and the agreed handover point. Specify whether outgoing packages are released at reception, a street-level entrance or another approved location. Do not assume a courier will reach the goods by following pedestrian skyway directions.
Confirm who controls the goods and the entrance
For a shop, office or hotel, identify the staff member authorized to release the shipment and the local hours when that person or an agreed replacement will be available. Check any building reception, visitor registration or loading procedures before proposing collection.
A building may be open while the tenant holding your packages is closed. Likewise, a hotel booking does not establish that reception has accepted responsibility for your shipment. Ask the actual holder to confirm the final package count, readiness and release arrangements.
