Distinguish the street market from the covered market
Chorley Council’s market information distinguishes the outdoor street market, formerly called Flat Iron, from the covered market. If a seller uses a familiar market name, confirm the exact place holding your order today. Identify the trader and reference as well as the premises; a general market location is not an agreed parcel handover point.
Check the seller’s attendance and storage separately
The council’s published trading pattern varies by day and type of stall. Ask the individual trader when they will be available and where the packed goods stay outside trading hours. Do not assume that an open food area means another seller is present. If the order moves to a separate shop or home, the final enquiry should use that physical address and its own release contact.
Review different articles within the same purchase
A mixed order can include items requiring different checks, such as food, liquids, batteries or fragile household goods. Describe the contents and quantities by box and state whether they are purchases, gifts or returns. Keep the receipt and any seller reference associated with the package record. The fact that products were bought together does not mean every item can travel by the same international service.
Ask for a quote once the final packing is known
Confirm who will provide protective packing and obtain each package’s actual weight and external dimensions. If several traders are involved, explain how many origins are proposed or who has agreed to consolidate them. Give the complete overseas address and any deadline. EPS assesses acceptance, route availability and price individually; neither a market day nor a shop’s opening hours guarantees a collection slot.

Shipping questions
Is the Flat Iron market name a sufficient collection address?
No. Confirm the actual street-market seller or other holder, exact premises and release contact. The council distinguishes outdoor trading from the covered market.
Can I assume my trader is present whenever the market is open?
Check directly with that trader. Different areas and sellers may operate differently, and the packed goods may be stored elsewhere between trading days.
