Distinguish a gallery visit from an authorised handover

The Heritage Foundation’s Broadway Gallery visitor information places the gallery in The Arcade, off Leys Avenue. If your enquiry concerns an artwork seen at an exhibition, identify its owner and actual holding location first. A public visitor address does not establish that a purchase is ready or that the venue can release somebody else’s work.

Arrange access with the person holding the goods

The gallery’s visitor guidance notes that it has no on-site parking and describes nearby visitor parking separately. A suggested place to park is not a loading or collection instruction. Ask the holder for the appropriate entrance, any steps or handling constraints and an agreed release appointment. Exhibition changeovers can also affect visitor access; opening information should not replace direct confirmation.

Decide where protective packing will happen

For a framed work, sculpture or other fragile object, describe its materials, size and vulnerable parts. Agree whether the artist, seller or another authorised packer will prepare it, and where the finished package will be held. If it moves from a gallery to a studio or home, use the final release address. Do not assume exhibition staff provide crating, storage or transport services.

Give EPS the completed consignment details
