Identify Cornhill or Fairfield before naming the seller
Dorchester Town Council’s market guide distinguishes Cornhill, at the junction of South Street and the historic High Street, from the Fairfield market site. Give the individual trader and purchase reference. Confirm the address where the packed order will be kept; the market name alone does not establish a storage or release arrangement.
Keep market management and goods holding separate
The council guide states that the Town Council took over management of both markets in April 2026. That administrative role does not mean the council’s offices hold traders’ purchases or can release them. The guide also describes the Corn Exchange as an events venue. Ask the actual seller who retains the order and where it will be available after the trading event.
Agree packing for a market find or shop purchase
Describe the actual items, their materials and condition, with fragile features, batteries or liquids identified where present. Confirm whether the trader packs them or sends them to another address first. Measure the final outer package after protective materials are added and provide its weight. For multiple purchases, establish whether they are combined at one confirmed address or remain with separate holders.
Send a Dorchester, Dorset route enquiry
Provide full origin and destination addresses, contents and purpose, package count and packed measurements. Include the authorised contact, agreed entrance, any access or carrying needs and a preferred arrival date for assessment. EPS confirms acceptance, route options, collection feasibility and price individually before booking. A market timetable does not establish an EPS collection appointment or drop-off point.

Shipping questions
Does “Dorchester Market” give enough information for an order?
Identify Cornhill or Fairfield where relevant, then confirm the individual trader and the actual premises holding the packed goods.
Can the market organiser release a trader’s purchase?
Obtain release instructions directly from the seller. Managing the market does not establish custody of individual orders.
