A Caledonian Road address needs more than the name Cally
Caledonian Road is a long shopping and residential street. Give the building number and full postcode rather than only the road name or a nearby station. A shop and the flats above it may use different entrances. If an invoice uses a trading address while the goods are held elsewhere, identify the actual release premises and contact before requesting collection.
Furniture purchases: confirm the final packed size
The Cally includes second-hand furniture and homeware shops. For a purchase, agree with the seller which parts can be dismantled, what protective packing will be provided and where the finished pieces will be held. List each package separately with its outside dimensions and weight. State if a piece remains assembled or needs assistance to move; do not assume that a standard parcel service includes dismantling, wrapping or carrying furniture from an upper floor.
Glass, framed pieces and other vulnerable items
Describe the item and its materials, including glass panels, projecting edges or detachable fittings. Explain how it will be protected for transport and whether suitable packaging is still being arranged. Use photographs to clarify its shape or condition alongside measurements, rather than as a substitute for package dimensions. Ask for assessment before arranging a seller handover: acceptance and any special handling must be confirmed for the actual shipment.
Barnsbury terraces and square-side homes
For a collection in the streets around Barnsbury Square, Lonsdale Square or the surrounding terraces, give the property number, flat and postcode. Distinguish a lower-ground entrance from the main front door if this affects the handover. Explain the stairs and access relevant to the packed goods, and identify someone who can release every carton. A square name alone does not locate the correct premises.
Barnsbury and Bemerton estate addresses
Use the full block and flat details for goods held on the Barnsbury or Bemerton estates. Confirm the entrance, any managed access and who will be available to release the shipment. Tell EPS about lift dimensions or access limitations when they affect a bulky package, and update the enquiry if goods move to another building for packing. Reception, caretaking or building staff should only be listed as the release contact if they have agreed to that role.
Keep Barnsbury, Canonbury and nearby origins distinct
Barnsbury and Canonbury are different neighbourhoods. If the goods are actually held towards Upper Street or Canonbury, use the Angel and Islington guide and retain the sender’s exact address. For origins towards Holloway, specify those premises rather than a familiar Cally landmark. This combined guide covers local collection enquiries; it does not identify an EPS counter at a shop, estate or station.
Details for your shipping quote

Select kg / cm or lbs / inch in the quote form. EPS confirms price, route availability and collection instructions individually before booking. This guide does not identify a local branch or drop-off counter.
Shipping questions
Can I request a quote for second-hand furniture bought on the Cally?
Yes. Provide the seller’s agreed release address, a contact, the item description and the final packed dimensions and weight of every piece. Explain any dismantling, packing or access requirements that are unresolved. EPS assesses the shipment and confirms a suitable service before booking.
Is a Caledonian Road station name enough to arrange a collection?
No. Give the actual premises address, building number, postcode and flat or unit, with an authorised release contact. A station can help describe the area but is not a collection address or an advertised EPS drop-off point.
